HUAC O-30 "White" team off to a great start

Hellenic United's newly created Over-30 "B" team finished their first ever indoor session on December 28, 2010.

The goals for the team were:

1. To come-together as a group and learn each other's strengths and weaknesses, as well as decide which players will form our Over-30 "B" outdoor season team.
2. To have fun playing soccer.
3. To finish at least with a 50-50 record.

Over 30 Championship Heads Banner Year for Hellenic United Athletic Club.

 Hellenic United AC capped off a brilliant year by winning the National Soccer League Over 30 Championship at Hawthorne Park in Cicero, Illinois on October, 2009. The second year club also won a share of the Illinois State Cup in the Men’s Open Division and made the National Soccer League Men’s Open Division playoffs.

It was a banner year for the club founded just two years ago. After completing the 2008 season with only one team competing in the NSL Over 30 division, club executives John Kosmas and Spiro Arsenis forged mergers with several existing sides in the early spring of 2009. The end result was a “reborn” Hellenic United AC with teams in the Men’s Open Major Division, Men’s Open Second Division, and Men’s Over 30 Division of the National Soccer League. Brought into the fold were Major Division side Royal FC, Second Division side GR 04, and Over 30 tournament side Asteras Chicago, all under the Hellenic United AC name.

Hellenic United stay top with 1-0 win

Second Division Red Section leaders Hellenic United A.C. made it three wins from three starts in the 2009-2010 NSL Indoor Season competition on Friday night (12/11/2009), when they carved out a 1-0 win over a youthful SAC Wisla "B" side in their game at the Odeum Exposition Center.

In a game where they were made to battle from start to finish, HUAC got their all-important goal from the boots of Elias Litos who sneaked the ball past a diving Wisla goalkeeper midway through the second half.
