Hellenic United Athletic Club won the National Soccer League Division 2 sectional title and promotion to Division 1 on Friday, March 19, 2010 by beating out Arabian FC 8-0. This was the first year of participation for HUAC in Division 2.
HUAC finished the 2009/2010 NSL indoor season with a record of 13-1-2 in 16 games played and with 76 goals for and 20 goals againt (best in both Red and Blue Sections).
The Second Division is very well known for its ups and downs, and this was absolutely the case even this year, when it was only until the very last two games that everyone knew their destiny as regards the place in the standings.
"Our promotion is a result of the high-level competitive and organizational performance this past season," said HUAC captain Alen Malkoc. "Hellenic United have clearly demonstrated that we are prepared for the challenge of competing and operating at the First Division level and instantly strengthen the league."
