Second Division Red Section leaders Hellenic United A.C. made it three wins from three starts in the 2009-2010 NSL Indoor Season competition on Friday night (12/11/2009), when they carved out a 1-0 win over a youthful SAC Wisla "B" side in their game at the Odeum Exposition Center.
In a game where they were made to battle from start to finish, HUAC got their all-important goal from the boots of Elias Litos who sneaked the ball past a diving Wisla goalkeeper midway through the second half.
"It is a joy to be on top at this time but we need to work much-much harder if we want to keep this lead," said coach Moraitis and then added:
"It was really a so-so performance by the team tonight and I believe that we need to improve on a lot of things."
"If we want to keep doing well we must really reach deep down and play with heart and passion in our games."
"This was a very youthful side and we barely managed to scrape by. If we want to say that we are here to win this thing we must really play better, especially against young sides such as this one."
HUAC are set to face a very tough NK Prijedor side next Friday.
