Hellenic United Over 30 won their first game in the Illinois PSL league with a 4-1 victory over Black Eagle. Having lost their game against Romanians FC last week, the HU over 30 team looked to redeem themselves against a good team. Having overcome the beginning of the season blues, HU took the game to the Black Eagles and missed a number of opportunities in the opening minutes to put themselves ahead of the visitors. Playing on the large pitch at the College of Dupage, HU could not find the target, hitting a post and missing three break aways. As the game progressed, the Black Eagles found the opportunity to counter attack and scored the games first goal. The first half ended with HU down 0-1. The second half started with the wind to HU's back and the tide of the game turned against the Black Eagles. With a pressing mid-field HU scored two quick goals in the first 15 minutes of the game to take the lead. With the lead in hand, the team was able to play comfortable with the ball, while the Black Eagles were hard pressed to make counter attacks against the wind. HU scored a third goal 30 minutes into the half to put the game comfortably ahead and then put a final fourth goal to lock up the victory.
